Farm to Table Eating
When we first moved here, we went on the search for a good breakfast/brunch place. What we found was amazing. The Grange in Duvall was everything we were looking for: great food, atmosphere and not too far away from home. We have definitely tried a lot of their items, not just on the brunch menu. We have tried a couple on their dinner menu as well as a few take-home lunches they did while they were low on capacity. I would say that the brunch menu is our favorite, but we have enjoyed the other items as well.
As always, I like to talk about the food, overall service, and atmosphere when doing restaurant reviews. Let us start with the food! Like I said, we really like the brunch menu. We have tried a lot of the items on their menu. This year, we have tried the Fried Green Tomatoes, Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes, Grilled Zucchini Bread Toast, Pork Belly Benedict, Apple Cinnamon Waffles, Dutch Baby Pancake, Shakshuka Baked Eggs, and Chilaquiles. All of these were delicious but I would have to say that our favorites were the Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes and the Grilled Zucchini Bread Toast. The pumpkin pancakes were not too heavily pumpkin flavor which was perfect! And the zucchini bread toast was just a nice surprise.
For dinner, we tried the Roasted Brook Trout and the Pork Chop. Again, I was actually unable to try the trout but my husband really enjoyed it. We then had a yummy pound cake for dessert.
The overall service and atmosphere are good. We have tried to sit outside every to get some fresh air while we eat, and we appreciate the heaters! For the most part, the service has been good. There may have been a couple times where we had to wait for a refill, but nothing too extreme. The atmosphere is good as well. It is nice to be able to be outside and not feel on top of other people. Overall, we really like this place! It is definitely one of our favorite places, especially for brunch! We cannot wait to go again!
