Cheers!
My husband and I had just moved out to Washington and were new to everything! Within the first couple of weeks of being here, we actually were able to experience our first Washington snow storm. Being from Iowa, we were used to a lot of snow, so we were not concerned. What we were not ready for was the reaction and responses of everyone else in Washington. We had maybe gotten five inches, which like I said earlier we were used to. We were not used to the fact that there would be no plows around us and not many people shoveling their sidewalks. This was a new experience for us. One of the nights, we wanted to try one of the restaurants close by. We ended up venturing out to eat at the Three Lions Pub not that far away from where we are living. It was probably about forty degrees out and snow everywhere. We were ready to sit down and enjoy some comfort food. The Three Lions Pub is a British based pub. It had appropriate décor and a feel like you would be over in Britain. My husband got the Healthy English which was like a turkey burger. I decided to go a little more English and try the Chicken Curry Pasty. It reminded me of a chicken pot pie, but not so much cream in the middle. Both dishes were tasty and hit the spot of the comfort food we were looking for. We both look forward to venturing out again to try more items on the menu.
