One of my favorite movies is Jurassic Park. With my goal of reading 12 books, I decided to make the original book be a part of my list. I also decided that since I have a 40-45 minute drive to work almost every day, I would make it an audio book. After finishing it, I have to say that I still really like the movie more. It was nice to have had the movies watched before listening to the book because it was a lot easier to picture what was going on. I say movies, since the book definitely has parts from each of the first three movies. It was fun listening to it and being like, that was from the second movie or the third movie.
There were definitely quite a few differences between the book and the movie. Some of them I felt were small so it didn’t really bother me. The end of the book was definitely different compared to the movie. I will admit, I like how the movie ended a lot more. For anyone interested in the book, I will warn you that the book is definitely more graphic with the gory details of the dinosaur attacks. Crichton did a nice job of describing the different dinosaurs when they entered in. I would recommend this book to anyone. It was a very interesting read and helped make my commute go by faster. I think I may even put the next book on my list, too.
