Perfect Place for Restoration!
We have been to Leavenworth a few times, but never like this! This time, we were going to experience one of the most luxurious stays ever! The Posthotel in Leavenworth is truly an amazing experience that everyone should try at least once in their life! It may be the way we choose to stay there in the future! Right from the start we are welcomed with gorgeous views, such wonderful people at the check in station, and breathtaking flower arrangements.
The room itself was also so stunning! We went with a balcony room overlooking the river and mountains. Leavenworth is always stunning with their views of the surrounding mountains. Our room had an amazing soaking tub, good size shower, fireplace, and a television within the bathroom mirror. It was truly something.
The price of the room comes with breakfast, lunch, a small bite menu for dinner and a late night dessert option. They have water, tea, and coffee stations throughout the lodge.
It also gives you access to the saunas and pool area, as well as underground parking. The lodge is for only adults and is all about relaxation! They also have an outdoor patio which is perfect for taking your meals if you want an incredible view!
They have multiple kinds of saunas, steam baths, and a cold plunge. The pool is also an indoor/outdoor pool so you can enjoy the sun if you choose to. The spa is also amazing with different kinds of massages and facials. Just make sure that you book ahead a time as they book up very quickly!
While we were there, we chose to go and do a hike and walk around the downtown (which is walking distance away), but there were many people who did not leave at all while they were there. After being there, we definitely saw the appeal of staying there for the entire time. It was so relaxing and the views were incredible! We hope to be able to go back during the winter sometime to see what it is like with all of the lights.
The first night we were there, we decided to walk downtown and eat at the Watershed Cafe. We tried the Herbs Oven Roasted Pork Chops and the Watershed Million Dollar Meatloaf. It was nice to eat outside and enjoy the fresh air. After we were done eating, we enjoyed a nice stroll around town, just enjoying all the night time lights.
One place we have driven by a few times was the 59er Diner. I had wanted to try it, but we never had time before. We decided to stop here after our hike at the Icicle Gorge trail. We had heard that their cheese sticks were supposed to be really good, so of course we had to get an order of those. They were so cheesy and didn't fall apart like some do. We also enjoyed a delicious milkshake while having our burgers. We loved the aesthetic and authenticity of the diner feel. Would definitely go back.
We also ended up having to stop and take a picture with all of the Bigfoots we found on the way home. It was so much fun to try and find more.
We honestly would recommend trying to stay here at some point if you are ever traveling to Leavenworth. It is an amazing experience and well worth the money!
